Koch, Douglas Paul

Age 60 July 17, 1952 ~ June 11, 2013 Born in Portland, OR and died in St. Paul, MN of Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). He graduated from Benson HS in 1971 and spent 25 years as a custom cabinet maker, then founded Structures and Interiors Remodeling and Consulting. Douglas was a Renaissance man who loved art, music, travel, NPR, classic cars, and the beauty of the Pacific NW. Douglas lived with ALS for 9 years with incredible humor and patience. He married Jackie Bohrer in 2008 & they created a home in St. Paul. He is preceded in death by his father & two brothers. He is survived by his wife; his mother, Barbara; Children Craig, Allison (Chris), and granddaughter, Clementine; four siblings and his Oregon extended family. Memorials preferred to ALSTDI; dedicated to ALS. Memorial service June 23 at 6 pm at the Province Chapel of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 1880 Randolph Ave, St. Paul.
