Freeman, Wardell “Sonny”
October 9, 1956 – November 21, 2013
Age 57 of St. Paul. Wardell was born to the union of Dora L. Freeman and Tom McLin, who both preceeded him in death, along with one sister, Lillian Ann Freeman Jefferson. Wardell gave his life to Christ at an early age. He attended John Fisk Elementary School and then Martin Luther King, Jr. High School, both in Chicago, IL. Wardell was a very outgoing, friendly, fun-loving, outspoken jokester. To know him was to love him. If you met him once, you would have felt as if he had known you for a lifetime. Wardell leaves to cherish his loving memory son, Wardell L. Wilson of Chicago; daughter, Lynette Jefferson of St. Paul; brother, Ronnie (Arlene) Freeman; sisters, Denise Nevilles of Kankakee, IL, and Delsiaca (Steven) Hicks of Rantoul, IL; nephews, Nashawn Nevilles, Damian Freeman, Jonathan Wade, Devalon Keys, all of Kankakee, IL, and Steven Hicks of Rantoul, IL; nieces, Danielle (Day Day) Moten, Delsiaca (Mitchell) Wade-Taylor, Rikkiana Keys, all of Kankakee, IL, Denisha Davis of Danville, IL, Mavrionna Brown of Urbanna, IL, and Ania Hicks of Rantoul, IL; eight great-nieces; seven great-nephews; a host of family and friends; along with extended family from previous relationships that he loved and cherish always.
