Age 73, passed away peacefully at home in Andover on March 3rd, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Marion Broughton; siblings, Hazel and Milton (Bud); and sister-in-law, Maureen Broughton. Survived by his sons, John (Janet) and Todd (fiancee’ Candice), and their mother, Diane Dailey; siblings, Richard (Sandy), Pat (George) Hilyar, Bill Broughton, and Mary (Keith) Mollanhauerd; step- daughters, Mary (Don) Tyson, Linda (John) Burgess, Kathy (Craig) Manz, Jennifer (Josh) Kleinschmit, Susan Martin and their mother, Sharon Barlow; grandchildren, Aidan and Jamie; step-grandchildren, Don Anthony & Christian Tyson; Brooke, Morgan, Grace, Sarah & Paige Manz,Taylor & Johnathon Person and Brody Martin; also many nieces, nephews and friends. John served in the military and was a member of Anoka Masonic Lodge #30 AF & AM. He retired from Mercy hospital in Coon Rapids several years ago. John continued working part-time at Grace Lutheran church in Andover for the past 12 years. John was an avid bowler, he enjoyed his bowling friends and looked forward to each time they met. John also enjoyed the monthly card games with his siblings, watching football, and golf, and the occasional fishing trip to Canada. John will be missed by family, friends, and especially his grandkids. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Tues., March 11, 11:00 AM with a gathering 1 hour prior at Grace Lutheran Church, 13655 Round Lake Blvd. NW, Andover, MN 55304. Memorials in John’s memory may be made to Grace Lutheran Church (Golden Rule) Day Care.
