Bolstad, Stephen Frederick
August 19, 1942 – January 18, 2014
Age 71 of Waconia and formerly of Shakopee, passed away on January 18, 2014. Steve is survived by his daughter, Kristine Anderson; grandchildren, Rachael Isle, Taylor (Emily) Isle, Cecily Isle, and Brennan Isle; Kristine’s mother, Jinny Halverson; his sister, Debbie (Al) Epling and her family; and his brother, Rich (Lora) Bolstad. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Newman and Evelyn Bolstad. Known for his kindness, humor, sarcasm and wit, Steve was a self-professed pain in the butt—but those who knew him found him to be good-hearted and always willing and wanting to help. Steve never met a dog, a little kid, a golf course, a piece of music, a lottery ticket, a pepperoni pizza, a beer, or a pretty girl that he didn’t like; and people generally couldn’t help but like him. Steve stubbornly outlived several heart attacks and cancer; and, although his death was unexpected at this time, he now rests free of the Alzheimer’s Disease that was slowly but surely taking his mind, which was Steve’s most treasured possession. A life well lived will be celebrated at a memorial service in the chapel at Auburn Meadows assisted living center, 591 Cherry Drive, Waconia, on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will immediately follow the service.
