Rude, Vernon Elmer age 88, of Roseville. Our beloved Pops died peacefully on April 25th at the Mpls VA Hospital. Survived by children, Deborah, Mark (Debbie), Jim (Becky), Jon (Diane); grandchildren, Garrett, Chris (Meg), Brittany, Faith, Kaila, Travis, Trent and Anna and former wife and friend Dianne (Glen). Vern served in the US Army from 1944-1946. Pops was a simple, humble, peaceful and quiet man. Vern was proud of his Norwegian heritage. He enjoyed his family, fishing, reading and telling jokes. He loved the Lord and served Him throughout his life in many ministries. “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Phil 1:21. As per his wishes a small chapel service will be held at Eagle Crest in Roseville on Thursday, May 2nd at 11:15am. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Mpls VA Hospital.
