Cowley, Mary Josephine

Age 64 of Edina. Daughter, sister, aunt and devoted friend. Preceded in death by parents, John and Phyllis and brothers, Jack and Michael. Survived by siblings, Tom (Terri), Anne, Patricia (Gary Gilson), David (Cindy Jackson), Catherine and Bob (Jileen), all of the Twin Cities. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary died of pancreatic cancer on April 25, 2013. Raised in West St. Paul, Mary worked as a devoted Registered Nurse in St. Paul, Santa Barbara, CA, and Milwaukee, WI. She lived in Wauwatosa, WI, for 18 years. Mary absolutely loved people. Her friends, family and co-workers formed the center of her life. She was “one of a kind” — an extraordinarily devoted caregiver who had a big heart for those in need. Her smile and positive energy were contagious. She was creative, generous and loving, with a sweet spirit and great sense of humor. Mary touched so many lives; she will be deeply missed. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph, 1154 Seminole Ave., West St. Paul. Gathering of friends 9-11 a.m. at the Church. Private family burial.
