Powers, Ruth Elizabeth

October 25, 1928 – December 24, 2012
Age 84, longtime resident of Shoreview, MN and most recently at Our Lady of Peace Home. Her courageous battle with cancer came to a peaceful end on December 24, 2012. She is survived by her children, Robert (Michelle) Powers, Jr., Rick Powers, Yvonne (Dan) Perry, Sam Powers, David Powers, Scooter (Ron) Lippert and Laura Powers; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbie and grandson, Ben. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, December 28 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church – 920 Holley, St. Paul Park. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at the church prior to the Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment at church cemetery. Memorials preferred. Ruth’s wish was that those in attendance at her celebration of life wear bright colors.
