Age 70 of Pine City, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long battle. Born in Hartford, Alabama to his parents, John and Pearl, who precede him in death. Proudly served his country with the Navy during the Vietnam War. Former owner of the Village Inn Bar & Grill. He will be missed by his loving wife, Lee; sons, David Scott Steele and Michael R. Campbell; 4 grandchildren: Tanner, Taten, Caitlyn, and Carley Schwietz; sister, Colleen Russell of Hartford, AL; brother, Frank Campbell of Geneva, AL; and many other relatives and friends. A private family inichement was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
