Johnson, Darphine Marie (nee Smith)

Age 78, passed in Minneapolis, MN on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Born on January 22, 1933 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to Helen Mary Jones and Roy Earl Smith. She lived in St. Louis Missouri, and Chicago Illinois, before settling in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Darphine gave her life to GOD at an early age. All that knew her or encountered her could see that in the works here on earth, knew she was a true woman of GOD. Darphine was a devoted wife, mother, & grandmother, for many years; her delightful smile, warm presents, big heart and encouraging words of wisdom will be missed by everyone. Survivors include her children, daughters, Jacklyn Luster (MN) & Joann Larkins (ILL) Sons, Henry Larkins (MN) & David Larkins (MN) sister, Margaret McClain (CA) abundance of grandchildren, great-grand, great-great-grand and other relatives and friends. Preceded her in death husband, Donald Johnson, both parents, daughter, Avis Warfield, sons Stanley Larkins, Wayne Larkins and grandson Curtis Larkins. Funeral service Tuesday 1/3/11 at 11:00 A.M. at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, 2639 Thomas Ave. N, Mpls. Iterment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:15 P.M., Assembly Area #4.
